Good article. Should be an interesting game being in Texas, Coug fans wanted revenge from the 03 game, etc…but if we keep it within 20 points, I will be very HAPPY. GO COUGS!

Thanks MVP. Had some technical difficulties with the post but it should all be there now by the way….

Anyway, yeah, I agree with you. Keep it interesting and try to put on a good show on NBC and maybe it helps us out a bit. But I hate to say it, but Notre Dame looks a heck of a lot better than I thought they would. When the game was first announced I thought "hey, 7-6 last year and not all that great, a bad year the season before, neutral field, you never know" but then looking at them a little closer and they are pretty impressive. They could end up being the best team we play in '09.

Better than USC? I guess we will find out, since they play each other.

I don't think we will win, but I think we will be competitive in this and many games this year.

A lot of fans must have missed the comeback in that '79 Cotton Bowl game against Houston, check out the seats behind Montana in that photo.

Better than SC might be a stretch, that's true '91. But I don't know, they (ND) sure seem stacked. Even while they've been struggling the last couple of years, Weis has been reeling in some big-time talent. (that tight end from last year is a monster). Now that the Willingham recruits are filtering out of the program, this has to be it for Weis. He better win big this year, or else!

This game scares me. We could end up getting shellacked on national TV. On the other hand, we could end up winning…Nahhhhhhh.

I love that we are playing this game. how many portland states can you load up on and be unimpressive to recruits. At least you are showing you are not afraid of the big ooc game every year. It is what all the big kids do so you better go lock step with them. And Will Derting was so great. I love that whole defense. Look how small Ike Brown was. How did he start at d-end in the pac-10?
Our prayer is to run it and dominate time of possession. Play keep away from nd's offense with our strength which is to run the ball. And on defense I hope we attack them rather than sit on our heels deep in cover 2. They will pick our bones clean if we do that. Force the action and see if you can get them into errors. But holy TD jesus is that Golden Tate fast. We better roll the safety his way every play because our corners are going to need the help.

Is anybody going to this game? I've hotel and game tickets already, but it doesn't sound like many are interested. I've a friend who coaches in the NCAA and said he went to SA when the Coaches Convention was held there. Apparently the Riverwalk is a really good time.

SA looks pretty sweet. Check out today's Bing background
